Qube Global Software keep their finger on the property pulse by attending MIPIM

26 March 2009

Qube Global Software made their annual visit to MIPIM, the world’s premier Real Estate summit, held in Cannes, France to showcase their three property and facilities management software solutions, Horizon, Planet and Qube on stand 12:12.

The event focused on the current economic situation by gathering together some of the Real Estate industries key players to discuss the issues we are currently faced with and what we can expect in the future.

A debate, run by the British Property Federation (BPF) and London consultancy RealService, discussed whether the recession has damaged property’s image in the eyes of occupiers and investors. The event’s chairman, Liz Peace, head of the BPF, indicated that the key to rebuilding the industry’s reputation is for it to be as transparent as possible, act fairly and treat its tenants like any other customers. However, Peace also stressed that many large landlords have the interests of other customers – their investors – to protect at the same time as tenants. Businesses of all types and sizes are tightening their belts and preparing to weather a very difficult period. In any economic crisis, there are organisations which survive and even thrive. One way they do this is by taking proactive steps to increase efficiency and cut costs. The Planet division of Qube Global Software has launched the first in a series of free White Papers to help Facilities Managers survive the economic downturn. The first of these examines cost savings that can be made through Facilities Management.

Despite the number of attendees and exhibitors at MIPIM being down due to current economic conditions it was still a successful event and well worth attending.

London Residential Management choose Qube Property Management Software

11 February 2009

LRM’s Finance Director Andrew Spalton had the following to say about Qube

London Residential Management Ltd (LRM Ltd) is a specialist managing agent with a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed use developments in London and the South East. LRM Ltd was incorporated in 2003 and has grown significantly in the intervening period.

LRM chose Qube as the company considered it to be the most complete solution to their core block management requirements. The project team at LRM spent considerable time reviewing a number of alternatives and it was a combination of the intuitive feel of the product combined with the high degree of in built flexibility that led the company to choose Qube. Of all the software options considered Qube was the only one that LRM’s project team felt provided an equally strong financial and property management solution.

The Qube system has now been implemented and it has enabled LRM to centralise data, replace a number of existing electronic systems and make meaningful efficiency savings in time spent carrying out routine property management functions.
