Open Doors – A second successful year for Qube Global Software

October saw the second successful Open Doors event held at Qube Global Software’s offices in Central London. This year participants were offered the opportunity to attend seminars focused around the future of IT and Facilities Management.

All three of Qube Global Software’s products were showcased at the event with equal interest being shown in each by attendees. Staff were on hand to demonstrate the products and to discuss individual property and facilities management needs in detail.

Qube Global Software’s Development Director, Neil Harrison, discussed the future of IT in Property Asset Management including the use of Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence in everyday business. Guest speaker, Martin Pickard, talked about how Facilities Management has developed as a profession over the years and the use of technology in supporting its continued development.

Attendees included Property and Facilities Managers and IT Directors. This broad range of attendees shows that Open Doors appeals to so many involved in Property and Facilities Management. Feedback was very positive with a number of attendees commenting that they would recommend the event to other professionals within the industry.

Supporting the event's theme of how using a Qube Global Software solution can help you unlock your most valuable business asset - your data, a key was given to each attendee, providing the chance to unlock and win prizes such as iPods, cameras and USB sticks. Winning with Qube Global Software is just the same; having the right key to your data, your businesses can stay ahead of the curve by making informed decisions based on information derived from their everyday business interactions.

John Cuppello, CEO Qube Global Software, commented: "This has been another successful year for the Open Doors event with interest levels higher than before, it is great to get the opportunity to show the marketplace all the benefits we can deliver through our solutions and range of expertise on offer from Qube Global Software."

Qube Global Software has another successful year at Cityscape

Qube Global Software attended the Cityscape Dubai exhibition at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 5 – 8 October. The Horizon Property Management Solution was the main focus with a number of attendees taking and interest in what the product has to offer.

Horizon is a fully web-developed property management solution designed to be fully integrated with your daily business activity and processes. Offering solutions for Mall Management, Facilities Management, Service Charges and Business Intelligence you can see why Horizon is one of the market leaders globally.

Martin Betts, Sales Director for Qube Global Software commented on the event; ‘This year’s Cityscape, although smaller and less well attended than previous years, has still been impressive. We have had a high level of good quality interest in the Horizon solution possibly due to the fact that the economic downturn has slowed development in the region and given the industry time to breath and reflect on how they are going to manage their properties and future development projects.’

Rohan Marwaha, Managing Director of Cityscape Dubai, said he was not surprised by the turnout and claimed that Cityscape held up well by international standards. 'We saw a shift back to market fundamentals at Cityscape Dubai this year. The speculators and other amateur investors were conspicuous by their absence as were any hint of unrealistic or dazzling developments. The mood was sober and professional. However compared with other real estate events in Europe and Asia, Cityscape by comparison was very well supported,' he noted.

Qube Global Software has experienced a high level of success with the Horizon solution in the Middle East and this looks set to continue with the addition of the Dubai World Trade Centre and International Property Services to their already impressive customer base.

This year’s Cityscape was so successful that Qube Global Software has already signed up to participate in next year’s Dubai event which will run from the 4 – 7 October 2010.

Martin Pickard, FM Guru at Open Doors plus latest FREE White Paper

October 2009

Two major initiatives are helping to consolidate the position and reputation of Planet Enterprise, the leading FM system from Qube Global Software, in the CAFM systems market. Firstly, it has just published the latest free White Paper, written by highly regarded industry expert, Martin Pickard, and secondly, it has announced an Open Doors event in London on Oct 20th and 21st where Pickard will also be speaking.

The White Paper is titled “A Guide to Success in the Economic Upturn through Facilities Management Innovation and Information”. Pickard explores the topic by covering Creativity, Risk, Change and Information. The paper states “Information is an essential tool for all managers in planning and decision making and is particularly powerful when captured in a structured management information system. For those responsible for the management of facilities such information is vital.”

The report concludes that FM is a major factor in the global economy and Pickard states that the current economic downturn is a real opportunity for the whole FM industry. It can be a major factor in the recovery by renewed focus, innovation, creativity and partnerships backed by investment, communication and information technology.

The Open Doors event, the UK’s only property and facilities management software exhibition this year, will be hosted by Qube Global at its offices in Central London. The event will be held at 9 King Street, London EC2V 8EA – 20-21 October 2009, 9.30 am -4.00 pm.
Open Doors will showcase the latest versions of industry leading software solutions aimed at facilities and property managers, investors and occupiers of both commercial and residential property. There will also be the opportunity to gain industry insight during guest speaker sessions including Martin Pickard, also known as The FM Guru, focusing on recent developments within the property and facilities management sectors.

This year’s event will focus on how to unlock data, potentially the greatest asset within organisations, and how to create true Business Intelligence Solutions using this information. The white paper outlined above, written by Martin Pickard will be available to all attendees at the event.

Fast becoming a key event in the property and facilities management software industry, Qube Global Software are hoping to build on the success of last year’s Open Doors event. Richard Fisher, Director of Planet at Qube Global Software, commented: “We felt that there was a real need to provide an opportunity for property and facilities management professionals to see some of the leading software solutions on the market as well as offering access to industry expertise all in one place at one time.”

In summary this double exposure builds on another successful year for Planet and Qube Global Software and a series of prestigious new installations. As FM systems are now recognised as a valuable tool in combating the current economic pressures, the white paper and the Open Doors event come at an opportune time.
