The only BSI accredited property and facilities management software provider

Qube Global Software is pleased to announce that they have passed their 2009 BSI audit which means that they continue to be the only supplier in their market to hold the ISO 9001 and TickIT standards. These accreditations have been held by the organisation for nearly 20 years.

The ISO BS EN 9001 and TickIT quality management systems standard by the British Standards Institute (BSI) requires that the organisation under audit meets a set of criteria relating to a number of key areas within their business. The main elements being customer focus throughout the organisation and ensuring mutually beneficial relationships between Qube Global Software and its suppliers.

The most important element of the accreditation is the commitment to continual improvement throughout the whole of the organisation from product development to customer service and software support. This is something Qube Global Software takes very seriously and the quality procedure in place reflects this.

The ISO and TickIT accreditations and quality procedures apply to all three of the Property and Facilities Management Solutions offered by Qube Global Software:

Horizon Property Management Software for larger private, institutional investors, managing agents, corporate and retail occupiers.

Planet Facilities Management Software for Facilities Managers and FM Contractors working in industry, commerce, NHS and the public sector.

Qube Property Management Software for private investors, corporate occupiers, managing agents and residential block managers.

Bob Allum, Quality Manager for Qube Global Software, commented, “This accreditation has been held by Qube Global Software for 17 years and we are very proud of the fact that we have managed to continue to meet the criteria set by BSI. This really does show our commitment to excellence in all areas of our business.”

Qube Global Software makes significant steps forward

2009 has seen a number of notable successes for Qube Global Software throughout the year, despite the difficult conditions in the worldwide economy.

Hosted by Qube Global Software, Open Doors, the UK’s only property and facilities management software exhibition, was again a great success. The 2009 event had more registrations and more attendees than ever before.

Qube Global Software continued to play a large part in supporting industry events throughout 2009, with sponsorship of Corenet, RealComm, The Property Awards and the ARMA Conference, along with a prominent attendance at many more industry events including MIPIM, HEFMA and The Facilities Show. 2010 will see Qube Global Software extend this series of partnerships with some exciting new ventures.

Notable sales successes were evident across all products. The Qube team was able to maintain sales volumes that were consistent with the excellent growth of the last five years, as rationalisation within the marketplace saw new streams of demand come to the fore.

The Planet product consolidated its dominance of the health industry, with a number of hospital trusts and other agencies becoming customers. 2009 also saw prestigious names such as Cambridge University and the historic Royal Palaces become Planet customers.

A major success was the selection of the Horizon product by Redevco, owners of one of the largest real estate portfolios in Europe. This, along with a number of major customers upgrading to the latest version and more new customers in the Middle East, created a portfolio of successes for the company.

The customer groups of the Qube and Horizon products came together for the first time in 2009. The Qube Global Software Customer Conference saw well over 200 clients from a range of organisations come together at Kings Place in London for demonstrations of the latest software releases, generic IT sessions and leading industry guest speakers. Along side this, Planet hosted their final individual customer conference at the famous Belfry hotel. 2010 will see all of Qube Global Software’s customers invited to a further enhanced customer event.

The overriding view from Qube Global Software was very much one of ‘why waste a good recession’ and, unlike other companies in the industry, Qube Global Software has actively diverted resources into development activities across all products.

John Cuppello, CEO of Qube Global Software commented: “2009 was a challenging, yet good year for Qube Global Software. The hard work and commitment of the whole team means that we are very well placed to take advantage of what will be an exciting 2010.”

Qube Global Software announces latest release of Planet FM Enterprise

Qube Global Software is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of their leading facilities management software solution, Planet FM Enterprise.

Planet FM Enterprise is a highly functional system, packed into a design philosophy that encompasses a user-friendly, intuitive interface. Aimed at the internal facilities management function in both the public and private sector as well as external FM contractors, Planet's carefully designed flexibility allows processes and controls to be matched perfectly to your requirements

Some of the new features of Planet FM Enterprise 4.70 include:

The ability to send SMS messages and short emails to engineers to inform them they have been assigned a work order. The email facility allows fields from the work order to be included in the subject or body of the email. As the full PDF of the work order is not attached, this allows work order information to be read on mobile phones that support email.

Similar to email processing, there is now an SMS queue which keeps a record of all SMS messages that are to be processed. Work order types, PM jobs and work orders have been updated to allow SMS to be selected.

The ability to reassign a work order to another engineer from the handheld work orders application means, a supervisor working in the field can be allocated work without having to return to the office.

User Calls is another new option that has been added to the Helpdesk menu. This provides you with the ability to view all the calls that have been created by the user that is signed on.

You also have the ability to log a call and work order via the Helpdesk menu, which provides you with the ability to create a work order after logging a call on the intranet.

In addition, the new handheld stock issue application which has been developed to provide you with the ability to issue stock to a work order or cost code. The part numbers being issued can be entered via a barcode scanner if available.

Richard Fisher, Director of Planet at Qube Global Software commented: "We announced earlier in the year, at the Planet User Conference, that we would be producing two major releases of Planet Enterprise a year, one in November and one in May and this release fulfills that commitment to our customers".

Qube Global software will continue to develop Planet FM Enterprise and we look forward to announcing further developments in 2010.
